We have always been and always will be God's children. He chose you. He longs and delights to be your God. There are two promises here - that God will adopt us, take us as His own, and that He will be our God. Care, love, presence, protection, deliverance, freedom, direction... Because we are His people, and because He is our Father God “...let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
